Vulnora Terms of Service

Last updated: May 21, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Vulnora ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Vulnora is a professional security auditing platform.

2. Description of Service

Vulnora provides automated security vulnerability scanning for websites, web applications, APIs, and software projects. The Service identifies potential security weaknesses and provides remediation guidance. Vulnora is a defensive tool — it does not exploit vulnerabilities or perform unauthorized access.

3. Authorized Use Only

You may ONLY use Vulnora to scan websites and applications that you own or have explicit written authorization to test. Unauthorized scanning is strictly prohibited and may violate applicable laws including the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), Computer Misuse Act, and equivalent legislation in your jurisdiction.

By initiating a scan, you represent and warrant that you have legal authority to perform security testing on the target. You accept full legal responsibility for all scans you initiate.

4. User Responsibilities

  • Only scan targets you own or have written permission to test
  • Do not use the Service to attack, disrupt, or damage any system
  • Do not use scan results to exploit vulnerabilities in others' systems
  • Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the Service
  • Do not use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Keep your account credentials and API keys secure
  • Report any security vulnerabilities you find in Vulnora itself responsibly

5. Active and Destructive Scanning

Vulnora offers three scanning modes: Passive (safe, default), Active (sends test payloads), and Destructive (aggressive testing). Active and Destructive modes may cause side effects on target systems including temporary slowdowns, error logs, or in rare cases data corruption. You acknowledge these risks and accept full responsibility when enabling these modes.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. Vulnora does not guarantee that all vulnerabilities will be detected, that scan results are complete or accurate, or that the Service will be available without interruption. Security scanning is inherently limited and should complement, not replace, professional security assessments.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Vulnora, its maintainers, or contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages from unauthorized scanning, system disruption, data loss, or security breaches.

8. Intellectual Property

Vulnora is proprietary software. All rights reserved. Your scan results belong to you. We claim no ownership over your data or findings.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for users who violate these Terms, particularly those who scan unauthorized targets or use the Service for malicious purposes. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. All changes are tracked in our public Git repository.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. For unresolved disputes, the jurisdiction shall be determined by the location of the Service operator.

12. Contact
